Knightswood Community Centre reopened on Friday 11 December 2020 from 6pm. This is again only for some children and young people groups as well as adult organisations that offer one to one advice and information. The Centre is also open for the essential NHS Glasgow & Clyde Anticoagulant Service which provides a community clinic for warfarin patients. The return of other organisations to the Centre depends very much on the Covid-19 Scottish Government Guidelines and the spread of the Coronavirus. The Café is also closed and members of the public cannot drop-in to the Centre.
On a happier note Knightswood Community Centre now has running hot water and has gone through an extensive electrical and plumbing upgrade. The 1st of December 2020 was also the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Centre. It was hoped to celebrate this occasion, however due to the pandemic all plans have been put on hold. Once the Coronavirus abates it is envisaged that there will be a half century celebration of the Centre and the groups that have used the venue.
We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
